‘sri demuni’ is a company that specialises in sustainable design. It draws its inspirations from nature’s designs, simplicity of rural communities across Asia and quality paradigms of Europe. The company also has access to creative minds of Asian, European and other countries across the world to promote sustainable lifestyles. These designs include ethnic clothes to organic food, eco-homes to sustainable villages, cleaner industries to sustainable corporates, etc. The design process of sri demuni integrates concepts of mindfulness and right livelihood, vastu and fenshui, life cycle management to circular economy, etc. Currently, it is involved in community based sustainable design programme in Tsunami villages in Sri Lanka. Here the designers are looking at various sustainable innovations for coir products, food processing, home construction, micro enterprises, along with its partners.
