GLOSS Operations Team
Uchita de Zoysa is an internationally acclaimed thinker, writer and speaker who is a leader in mobilizing civil society for public-private-partnerships and strategist for shaping policy for the global sustainability movement. He is the co-author of the famous “Oslo Declaration on Sustainable Consumption” and author of several books including the “Asian Review on Sustainable Consumption”. During the past two decades, he has travelled widely across the world contributing to the largest United Nations global conferences such as the Earth Summit (1992 in Rio de Janeiro), World Summit for Social Development (1995 in Copenhagen) and World Summit on Sustainable Development (2002 in Johannesburg) and over a hundred of other important international conferences organized by civil society, business and academia. He recently served as an Advisory Board Member and Head of Asian Review on Sustainable Consumption for “SC.Asia” a project coordinated by the United Nations Environment Programme, and was an editorial member of UNEP's "Advancing Sustainable Consumption in Asia: A Guidance Manual”. Currently, he is a member of the Sustainable Production and Consumption Systems (SPACES) International Working Group, Sustainable Consumption Research Exchange (SCORE) Scientific Advisory Board and also a member of the high level “National Advisory Committee on Climate Change” in Sri Lanka.

Dr. Prasanna Ratnaweera is a geotechnical and geo-environmental engineer by profession and is also currently the director of the Staff Development Centre at the Open University of Sri Lanka. His work addresses the need to make technology locally relevant by reflecting it's use in a social, environmental and economic context. He specialises in a number of areas including; field research into contaminated soil remediation, conducting Environmental Impact Assessments, Assessing occupational health and safety; domestic rainwater harvesting research and implementation; rural technology. Prasanna also extends his knowlledge and skills in using modelling as a strategic tool to plan sustainable development projects of GLOSS partners.
Roles within GLOSS: Science & Technology Consultant
Shani Weerasena is an Attorney-at-Law with over 13 years of service in the Bar. Her experience is predominantly in commercial, civil and notary work. She also provides her services for consumer protection cases and compliance advisory for corporate social responsibility. Shani is responsible for mnaging legal and compliance matters of all GLOSS partner organizations.
Roles within GLOSS: Legal & Compliance Counsel
Bruce Davison is the Business development consultant for GLOSS, since February 2008 he has been working in Sri Lanka with GLOSS partners CED and D&D and helping coordinate the 'Poverty to Sustainability' programme. From January 2009 he will be setting-up GLOSS operations in UK. His background is in research and analysis working in the academic and not-for-profit sector. His academic experience in the field of human neuropsychology contributed to the publication of articles on the sustained attention and emotional processing. After this period he moved into research and analysis in the not-for-profit sector. During this time Bruce undertook projects including a full portfolio analysis for a leading UK vocational organisation, mapping and streamlining a charities communications processes and the complete revision of an monitoring and reporting system within an organisation. Bruce's is experienced in a number of areas including project management, systems & process analysis, monitoring & reporting, stakeholder consultation and IT.

Harsha Ratnaweera is an investment advisor with 20 years of experience. He brings his wide experience in the commercial and stock market sector into developing sustainable credit and investment products and portfolio development within the GLOSS network. Harsha is an ardent promoter of ethical business practices and provides advisory services on managing enterprises according to Buddhist philosophical teachings.
Roles within GLOSS: Sustainable Credit & Investment Consultant
Mohan Dharmapriya is a project management expert and quality assurance engineer with 15 years in the Information Technology (IT) industry. He has worked for some of the largest offshore IT solutions companies based in Sri Lanka, Malaysia, USA and Norway. Mohan provides his expertise in strategic planning and streamlining projects for GLOSS partners and also provides expertise on systems analysis and design of software systems for our sustainability projects.
